避雷器是電力系統各類電氣設備(變壓器、電抗器、電容器、發電機、電動機、PT、CT、斷路器、接觸器等)絕緣配合的基礎，由避雷器的保護性能確定電力系統所有電氣設備的內外絕緣指標(短時工頻耐壓、雷電沖擊耐壓和操作沖擊耐壓等)。 金屬氧化物避雷器，俗稱“氧化鋅避雷器”是20世紀八十年代由美、日等國開始在國際上普及推廣的新一代避雷器，是常規避雷器中最先進的產品。我國八十年代中期全面引進該項技術后，通過多年實踐消化，目前各專業避雷器廠的交流避雷器性能與美、日、西歐等國的最先進產品差距并不大，真正達到了國際全部要求的產品也可以滿足國際IEC標準的全部要求。 該產品核心工作元件采用以氧化鋅為主的多元金屬氧化物粉末燒制，具有優異的非線性狀-安特性，陡波響應快，通流容量大。有間隙產品采用自吹間隙，帶均壓照射結構，降低了放電的分散性，沖擊系數小。 復合絕緣外套的采用，順應了國際電力產品小型化，安全化，免維護的發展趨勢。高分子有機復合材料與傳統的陶瓷和玻璃等無機材料相比，具有體積小、重量輕、耐污穢、免清掃、防爆防震動的優點。是集成化、模塊化的中高壓輸變電成套設備中首選的防雷元件。

Normal use condition

1、Ambient temperature: no higher than +40℃, not lower than -40 ℃;

2、Altitude: no more than 2000m;

3、Power frequency: 50±2Hz; 60±2Hz;

4、Earthquake intensity: 7 degrees and below;

5、Maximum wind speed: 35m/s;

6、Free cleaning conditions: moderate pollution and the following areas;

7、For gap-free products, the long-term applied power frequency voltage must not exceed the continuous operating voltage of the arrester;

8、For products with gaps, the short-term power frequency voltage rise of the installation point should not exceed the rated voltage of the arrester

長期使用于以下異常條件，避雷器需特別制作，定貨時應說明：

1、Temperature or altitude exceeds the standard (plateau, tropical, cold zone, fully enclosed cabinet, close to electric furnace, etc.);

2、Excessive moisture or corrosive gas impurities (water, salt fields, chemical plants, etc.) in the use environment;

3、 Strong ultraviolet radiation (plateau, strong sunshine area, etc.);

4、 Heavy pollution areas (mine face, construction site, etc.).
